August 18th, 2010: FOUND Found on the southeast side -- young female dog, Beagle face and ears, body is white with black patches and black "freckles." No collar or tags. Very sweet and friendly. Please call 457-9586.
August 10th, 2010: FOUND Stray found on the west side of by the river bottom area. Went to the vet today. Fur loss on her back is only from fleas and heat. We got her med for fleas, hook worm, and such. If we can't find her owner we will take her back next week for vaccinations. She is healthy and is 1 or 2 years old. Looking for old owners if they are looking for her or new owner.

July 5th, 2010: Spotted Two large, black dogs are roaming the Valley Downs subdivision this morning. They have no collars and walk along the sidewalks instead of across yards. One looks like a lab and one has a longer coat. I put water out but couldn't get their attention (they appear hot). They stay together so I assume they have the same owner.
June 26th, 2010: Lost 6 month-old Lab-Husky Mix escaped from enclosure July 26 at about 2:00pm in downtown Henderson. He is microchipped, but has no collar. June 25th, 2010: Lost On Tuesday, June 22, our beagle, Molly, went missing. She somehow managed to get out of her collar which was attached to her leash in the backyard. She is brown and white only and her belly is only white. She is four years old and a very sweet beagle that rarely barks. Our family is lost without her. June 10th, 2010: FOUND I found 2 dogs yesterday afternoon behind my home on the SE side of Evansville. One is a black Lab (or Lab mix), male, not neutered, and appears to be a young dog. Very friendly and sweet natured. The other dog is a Terrier mix (reminds me of Toto), a female, and also very friendly and sweet. They were found together and from what I heard from a neighbor, had been in the area for several days. I've contacted the VHS, posted flyers and put an ad in the newspaper. I'm keeping them in my backyard (which is fenced) and they have access to the garage, food, and water. For any inquiries, my phone number is 812-457-9586. Thanks so much for your help. June 4th, 2010: Lost Last Thursday night during the thunderstorms one of our Border collies disappeared. When we got home we could not find her. We have looked everywhere. Female border collie 14 years old. Hip displacement issue. White feet and nose and tip of her tail, black over the rest of her body. Her name is Brandi she has a red IU collar and her shot tags on her collar. She is very hyper from time to time but very well trained. She was lost in the St Philips area. Oct 15, 2009: LOST  On October 15, 2009, my boyfriend Erik and I (Kellye) had a wreck on 164 near Lynch Rd (we think this is where it was...we're from Elizabethtown, KY and not exactly sure where it was because we were just passing through). We were in a 1996 Chevy G-30 Cargo Van, white in color. We believe we hit a pot hole in the road and it broke our tire rod which sent us off the road and into a corn field. Our "chiweenie" (chihuahua/weiner dog mix) was with us. His name is Cheech. He wasn't hurt (that we know of) and he walked out of the van pretty shaken up. Officers said he ran into the corn field and no one could catch him before he was out of sight. He's a very shy and timid dog. We're had him for about a month and he's just now starting to warm up to men, but it's still a work in progress (we believe he was abused or something before we brought him home). He's approx. 8-9 months old. People say he looks like a cat. He has brindle coloring. He weighs about 10 pounds and has a small blue strip collar. He doesn't bite or growl or do anything scary, so he's approachable, but he prefers women : ) He's a ladies man. We really miss him and it's very hard for me to think of anything else but him. Oct 8, 2009: FOUND Yesterday morning we found a Lab Lab/Retriever (?) puppy running the neighborhood. We live off Vann Road in Newburgh. With all the rain haven't been able to put signs up. He wasn't wet or muddy so hadn't been gone long. Pup is almost completely black with just a touch of white on his chest. Looks to be maybe 3 - 6 months. Super friendly male. Will be BIG dog. Sept 28, 2009: FOUND There is a lost dog outside my office window. We have given water and a few dog treats. He is very scared and limping. Unfortunately, he will not allow you to get very close. Sept 14, 2009: FOUND I found a young adult female beagle mix, white and red, no collar. she was running in traffic along northbound 41 at washington ave in evansville, yesterday (sunday 9/13) around 4 pm. she is sweet, cat-friendly, very obedient and housetrained. she was covered in fleas and has areas of inflammation due to flea bites, but i've gotten all that under control. i will keep her until her home is located, or until a new home is found.

Aug 5, 2009: LOST Yesterday afternoon my dogs got out of our fenced in backyard. We live In the Camden Farms subdivision on the Northside of Evansville by the airport.
One dog is a male Beagle 30lbs named Koby about a year old. He has been neutered. He is mostly black and brown with a white breast and belly. The other dog is a female beagle/terrier mix. She is mostly white with black and brown around her eyes. She also has a black patch on her back/shoulder. Her name is Bella and she is also about 30lbs. My wife and I miss them dearly. Very sweet, appears to be a house dog, and is comfortable around cats. Found her at approximately 10:30 this morning. She was not dirty, freaked out, or thirsty. JUNE 23, 2009: LOST We recently lost our sweet calico cat on our way to Colorado as we were driving through Evansville, IN. She got very spooked as I was getting out of the car and took off into a field behind the McDonalds and Best Western located near I-64 and 41. She is around a year old and has been spayed and has recently had a patch of fur removed from her back. Palin has a half black, half orange face. June 10, 2009: FOUND  I have attached a picture of a sweet little dog I found on Hwy. 66 last Wednesday night after the storm. He was about 2 miles down from where the 4 lanes on diamond avenue turn into 2 lanes, almost to Blairsville. He was wearing a chocker collar and had a red lead dragging behind him. He has got to be someone’s pet. I have ran an ad in the Courier & Press, posted signs, and called the vets in the area with no success. He is such a sweet dog but I cannot have another dog. I had a neighbor find a dog on Green River Road, he was covered in mud and had no collar on. He is a small to medium dog, he is white with brown spots and a small stubby tail. He is very friendly to other animals (cats and dogs) loves people and children. He does not have a chip in him we have taken him to the humane society and I have called the rescue mission both have turned him down due to overcrowding. He is not fixed, but seems to be mildly potty trained.

Free english hound in need of a good home. Wandered into our yard several weeks ago, no one claimed. Vet says shes about 1 1/2 yrs old, was someones baby as evidenced by her
manicured toe nails. No micro chi, p, no o, wner so far. We have 2 large old dogs & this baby is just too playful for them .
She's a beautiful dog, looks like a very large/tall version of beagle type dog with the 3 distinct colors (black/white/brown) only this is a pointer breed & her tail when she's on point is awesome.
I don't have pictures at this time but if you're really interested & can give this beautiful, sweet, loving dog a home I will see that you get pictures.
Or, if you know of someone out in the northern part of Vanderburgh Co who lost a dog like this, let me know.

APRIL 22, 2008: FOUND  My husband hit a cat on allens lane near kratzville rd. It was seriously i, njured. My husband carried the cat around the nearby trailor park but no one knew who it belonged to, so he took it to the nearest vet. Having the huge heart he has, he took responsibility for its care. He had to have surgery but is doing well. While they had him under, they neutered him. We had a hefty vet bill and I do not think the vet believed it was not our cat. We do not need to be reimbursed for its care, we just want to find a good home. We cannot keep it ourselves for various reasons, one being my daughters allergies. UPDATE NOV 21, 2007: THIS DOG HAS BEEN FOUND! NOV 14, 2007: LOSTPerry, an American Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix, was adopted at PetSmart today (Sunday, November 11). The lady took him home to her apartment by Sam's Club, and as she was walking him in he pulled out of his collar and ran off. She and some friends chased him, but the last they saw of him was when he darted into some kind of drainage pipe that runs under I-164. Several of us drove around until dark looking for him, but no luck. He weighs about 40-50 lbs., is mostly white, is friendly to people and most other dogs, has been through obedience training . . he's a good dog! There are some apartments by ITT Tech that are directly on the other side of the highway from the area where he was lost. If anyone in that area spotted him on Sunday afternoon, please let us know. He is neutered and up to date on all shots. We desperately want to find him!

SEPT 20, 2007: I FOUND a small Black Dog on my street this morning. It is a male black with white markings on its chest and had a St Louis Cardinals collar on no tags. He seemed kind of scared and he was just standing in the middle of the road while cars drove around him. We have taken him to the shelter on 1st avenue. JUNE 24th, 2007: FOUND dog in Oak Hill/Morgan Avenue area. Was having trouble walking..May have been hit. Male, medium size, long hair, brown & tan, black ears and nose..could be a chow or shepard mix. Was very obvious that he is someones pet. Is very gentle, had no problems with cats or children, is housebroken and seems to eat only canned and/or people food. Taken to Evansville Animal Control on Sunday, 6/24/07. UPDATE: SEPT 5, 2007: he was originally taken to Animal Control, however, I went and picked him up on Saturday. So, could you please change the ad to call 812-402-1185. August 23rd, 2007: I work at Anthem BCBS and earlier this morning, Thursday, August 23, 2007, I FOUND a small little dog running across Eagle Crest Blvd. I think she may be an older dog and very, very trusting & gentle. Her coat is champagne, white mix. She looks like she may be a peekapoo & daschund mix (?) I am sure she is someone’s pet as she is very intelligent and obedient. I would love to find her owner and have no idea where to begin. We posted signs on light poles on Eagle Crest. I suspect she came from the neighborhood behind our office and drove around looking for anyone who might have been looking for her. August 9th, 2007: FOUND kitten. Female, approximately 6 to 8 weeks old. She is brown and has tan and yellow spots. Very loving and friendly. Uses the litter box and eats soft food. Was found on W.
