I hung around the newsroom last night helping with election coverage, and I know that many of you are SHOCKED! Yes, I am a political junkie and enjoyed every minute. After I got home, I started watching TV since the races in California and the West Coast were just getting decided, fell asleep in the recliner and woke up in a daze. So if I'm a little slow or lethargic Wednesday afternoon, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
Sometimes on the morning show, we'll share a story that is simply amazing. This morning we had one of those stories. Straight from the news wire, here it is:
"A 15 month-old baby girl survived a fall from a seventh-floor apartment in Paris almost unscathed after bouncing off a cafe awning and into the arms of a passer-by.
The infant had been playing unsupervised with her four-year-old sister when she somehow fell out the window.
On the WIKY Morning Show today, we shared an item we found on-line about the facts and fiction about shampooing your hair -
Occasionally on the morning show, we have a fun little feature we like to call "Love Court." Someone writes in with a dilemma, and we all have "jury duty" to try and help them resolve whatever their issue is. It's always a lot of fun and the responses are insightful and some are downright hilarious!
This morning we talked about a first date "deal-breaker" for this young woman. Her issue was her date pulled out a coupon to pay for dinner....on their very first date and for her it was a total "no-no."

I hate Autumn and by that I mean, I love Autumn. It's the most pleasant weather of the year. But the days after Halloween, plunging headlong toward the big Fall and Winter holidays, grow shorter and shorter and become a constant deadline on squeezing in a few more warm season activities before we're locked inside for the Winter with the kids.
Since we live on a dead-end street with only 7 houses on it, we don't get that many trick-or-treaters for Halloween. So this year, I decided to go and hang out at my mom and dad's house and help give out candy.
As I've said on the air this week, this is not one of my favorite holidays. But I'm trying to get in the spirit. Check out the video link on my page to see some pretty good Halloween pranks.
A website recently compiled a few rules of thumb for trick or treaters and what's funny is that they still apply, no matter how many years it's been since you last went door to door on Halloween.
1. Old people are either very generous or give you one peanut. There is no in-between.
