Sunday night after the Grammy Awards, KCBS reporter Serene Branson was giving on on-air recap and her words were complete gibberish that were unintelligible. Many people were concerned that she may have suffered a stroke on the air. However, she was examined by paramedics at the scene and her vital signs were normal. Some people were critical of her going home and not getting a second opinion.
We were discussing Valentine's Day on the show this morning and the how our spouses do little things that show us they love us. In my case, I call it "DVR Love."
Here's the scoop: in case you somehow missed this.....I am a HUGE Green Bay Packers fan, while my hubby Jeff is a Chicago Bears fan. First, we had a house-divided over the NFC Championship Game, which the Packers won. They then went on to win Super Bowl 45 last Sunday in Dallas.
I hope you'll join us on Saturday night at The Centre, when DJB, myself and Mark Elliott from the WIKY Afternoon Show will once again be a part of The Really Big Show to benefit The Evansville ARC. This year, we'll be celebrating radio from 1953, when the Evansville ARC was founded.....all the way through present day. Plus, we'll have the "WARC Word" of the day and DJB and I will actually give away a great prize during the show!
Valentine's Day is fast approaching and if you're looking for something really cool to get your sweet baboo.....this is perfect! On the show, we chatted with Fletcher Newburn from yournovel.com.
How would you like to star in your very own romance novel?? They have over 25 different plot scenarios for you to choose from, and the book can be as "mild" or "wild" as you want it to be! They're even available as an E-book if that's what your honey wants.
If you're a long -time listener of the WIKY Morning Show, you'll know that I am a life-long Green Bay Packers fan. My husband, on the other hand, is a Chicago Bears fan. With both teams playing for the NFC Championship this Sunday, Jeff and I are officially living in a divided house! To make matters worse, Sunday is our wedding anniversary! This is going to be a very interesting week in my house.
This morning's Culture Quiz had to do with 34% of Americans refuse to decorate their homes for the Christmas season.
Obviously, these people don't fall into that percentage! Check out the video and be thankful you're not their neighbor!!
Friday morning, the WIKY Morning Show will be on the road broadcasting from Wal-Mart to benefit the Salvation Army's annual "Toy Town" toy drive. DJB will be at the Newburgh location and I'll be at the Westside Wal-Mart starting at 6 a.m.
On the show this morning we brought up an interesting topic......is there anything other than dishes that you wash in your dishwasher? My dad has washed his baseball hats in the dishwasher for years and swears by it! He says they turn out just great, so who am I to argue with his logic? It turns out that a lot of people are in agreement with my dad and keep their chapeaus clean the dishwasher way!
Tonight, one of my favorite shows on television is back...."Human Target" on FOX. Is it a great show? Certainly not, but it's got cool characters, lots of action, is highly entertaining and has some major eye candy in the lead actor, Mark Valley! Besides, I'm just sick to death of all the cop and "procedural" shows that are currently gumming up the primetime schedule!
