April 13th, 2012 WIKY Morning Show

** It's Friday the 13th!! We had some fun this morning exploring superstitions and the goofy ones some of us have.  Diane admitted that she goes out of her way to avoid stepping on sidewalk cracks and she holds her breath when she drives by a cemetery.  Click on the link below to read some of the other superstitions that people have:

** "Entertainment Weekly" has it's Summer Movie Preview issue hitting newsstands today, and one feature is the 10 Showbiz Myths Debunked.  One myth is that Shirley Eaton was in mortal danger when she was covered in gold paint in "Goldfinger." NOT TRUE.  Another is that Mama Cass choked to death on a ham sandwich. NOT TRUE....she died of a heart attack in bed and there was a ham sandwich on the nightstand.  Birth of an Urban Legend! ** We had a great time with our Extortion Breakfast this morning! We welcomed the folks from the Ivy Tech Foundation and they talked about their 1st Annual "This is It" Gala.  It happens on Saturday, April 21st in the Koch Student Center at the Evansville Campus of Ivy Tech.  Tickets are $150 each and if you want to go, you'll need to call right away because space is limited and tickets are going fast! For more info or for tickets, call (812) 429-1408 or visit http://www.ivytech.edu

** We discussed some "Litttle Mysteries" this morning. One question was what is going into the old Integra Bank space at the Lloyd and Red Bank.  Our good friend Tracy Zeller called and told us that First Bank of Carmi, IL is moving into that space.  They also took over the old Ethan Allen building on the East Side.

** Culture Quiz for today:  72% of women say if this doesn't happen on the first date, a second date isn't going to happen either.  What?

Answer: Make them laugh!
