July 9th WIKY Morning Show

Diane here.....flying solo this week as DJB takes his daughter Amanda to freshman orientation at Ball State! It's hard for me to wrap my head around that, since I've known Amanda since she was in middle school. Her sister Kathryn will be a senior at Castle High School this fall. Time seems to fly by faster and faster each year, but it's been a blessing to see DJB's daughters grow up into the smart, talented and beautiful young women they are.

Finally!!! Some welcome relief from the heat! With an expected high today of 89, it's going to feel positively wonderful! When I talked with 14 WFIE Meterologist Byron Douglas this morning, he thinks the more mild weather will hang around for at least the next week.  Whoo hoo!

We had another celebrity obit to tell you about today: Oscar-winning actor Ernest Borgnine passed away yesterday at the age of 95. When I mentioned it to my husband yesterday, his reaction was, "Really?  He's still alive?"  Word is, he died of renal failure. A great talent, and another in a long line of celebrities who have left us this year.

So, when is the worst moment of the week for you?  When your alarm clock goes off first thing Monday morning? Well, contrary to popular belief, that's not the case. A new survey was conducted and it seems the worst moment of the week is........Sunday afternoon at 4:13! That's the time when people say they're saddest because of the lethel combination of the knowledge that the weekend is over, and how much they're stressing about their upcoming work-week. I remember having that feeling when I worked a sales job I hated, but I definitely don't feel that way now. I love my job!

Buzzfeed.com has just released a list of what they say are the sexiest songs of all time, and here are some that made the Top 10.

"Let's Get It On" by Marvin Gaye, "Wicked Game" by Chris Isaak, "Let's Spend the Night Together" by The Rolling Stones, "Love Hangover" by Diana Ross, "Whole Lotta Love" by Led Zepplin, and "Me and Mrs. Jones" by Billy Paul.

I think we might've just found a burger that's right up DJB's alley! It seems a small burger chain in Southern California called Slater's 50/50 just created a burger where the patty is made from 100% GROUND BACON. No beef at all. And that burger is topped with more bacon, "bacon cheddar cheese," and a dressing called "bacon island." I couldn't make this stuff up.....and you know, if you put that on a stick and deep fried it, it would be perfect for the Fall Festival!

Check it out here!
