On the Road Again

Friday morning, the WIKY Morning Show will be on the road broadcasting from Wal-Mart to benefit the Salvation Army's annual "Toy Town" toy drive.  DJB will be at the Newburgh location and I'll be at the Westside Wal-Mart starting at 6 a.m.

We've teamed up with 14WFIE as well, and the concept is simple: stop by Wal-Mart, do some shopping and pick up an extra toy in the process and donate it to the Salvation Army. They distribute them to needy families all across the area over Christmas.  We always get a great turnout because people are so generous and I know this year will be no different!

Every year, I get asked for suggestions, since the Salvation Army is asking for toys for kids 6 months through high school age.  Some suggestions for the older kids are Axe Body Wash and Cologne, MP3 players, winter hats and gloves, scarves and gift cards, just to name a few.

As of now, 14WFIE's Byron Douglas says it will be sunny and about 42 degrees on Friday, so come on out, visit with the WIKY Morning Show and help brighten up a kid's Christmas this year.  You'll be so glad you did!
