WIKY Morning Show Re-Cap Sept 22nd

**  Big Debut on television last night of Simon Cowell's new show, "The X Factor."  Paula Abdul, Nicole Sherzinger and L.A. Reid round out the judges panel.  In some ways, the show is similar to "American Idol," but it differs in some important ways too.  The auditions are open from 13 years old and up, individuals and groups can audition as well.  Plus, unlike "Idol," first auditions are in front of a live audience of 5,000 people!  Some notable contestants were 13-year-old Rachel Crow who sang Duffy's "Mercy" and nailed it!  Listen to it here:

The other highlight of the show was 42-year-old single mom, Stacy Francis who was told for years that she was "too old" to pursue a singing career and that she also had "no talent."  Well, it couldn't be farther from the truth after listening to her rendition of "Natural Woman" by Aretha Franklin.  Listen to it here:
