The Evansville Area Council PTA Clothing Bank got a new name this past February. We are now known as Hangers but our mission remains the same. We are here to serve any EVSC student in need with shoes, clothing and hygiene products so they can feel good about themselves and concentrate on learning in school.
Hangers is utilized by students in every school, from Elementary to High School in the EVSC. Last year, we serviced close to 1500 students by providing new and gently used clothing, coats, jackets, new shoes, undergarments, socks and hygiene products for each student who walked through the doors. Hangers is not funded by any organization or corporation but rely on donations from our community and events such as the Celebrity Scoop Night in September, our Annual Golf Scramble in October. and our Koins 4 Kids campaign in the fall.
