Man tries to sneak contraband taped to his groin into jail
A Henderson man’s preparations for a weekend locked-up got him into even more trouble. 30-year-old Robert Allen Bluem was checking into the Henderson County Detention Center to serve a weekend sentence, and jailers received information that Bluem might be in possession of contraband. Bluem claimed he had no contraband with him, then retracted that statement when jailors prepared to conduct an unclothed search of him. Bluem had a bundle taped to his groin area with loose tobacco, marijuana, smokeless tobacco, and prescription pills. Bluem is now charged with first-degree promoting contraband.
