U.S. Supreme Court to hear murder appeal of KY man
The murder conviction of a Western Kentucky man reaches the U.S. Supreme Court. The high court's decision to take-up the appeal of Robert Woodall, 39, gives him an at least temporary reprieve. The state of Kentucky is trying to reinstate the death penalty for Woodall. The Supreme Court will decide whether the U.S. Appeal Court made an error in upholding a decision to overturn Woodall's death sentence for killing 16-year old Sarah Hansen. He pleaded guilty to abducting her from a convenience store in Greenville in 1998. The justices in Washington will consider the case Dec. 11th.
