Diane Douglas

Name:  Diane Douglas

Where Was I Born?:  New Rochelle, New York

Birthday:  October 6th......I'm a Libra.

Single/Married:  Married! I married my wonderful husband, Jeff Thompson on January 23, 2007 on the beach in Jamaica!   And we did it again for family and friends on May 5, 2007 here in Evansville.

Radio History:  I've been in radio for about 18 years....starting out as the "weekend girl" on the oldies station in Madison, WI.  I moved to Milwaukee and worked at the oldies station there for 5 years before moving to Evansville about 7 1/2 years ago.  Once in the Tri-State, I worked for Hot 96, most recently as the co-host of the Booker & Diane Show.  Before radio, I had a whole other life in retail.  I worked with my mom, dad and sister in our family-owned Benetton clothing stores.  I had so much fun doing that for 9 years and learned so much!  You can see some pictures from my retail days in my photo album....check 'em out!

Describe Yourself in 3 Words (or more, LOL):  Down-to-earth, funny and a true KLUTZ!!

Where Do I Live?:  Well, I can't tell you EXACTLY where, but I live on the Westside of Evansville. (Hey, I'm married to a Reitz graduate......we CAN'T live anywhere else!)

First Non-Radio Job:  This is pretty scary....I worked part-time for a pharmacy when I was in high school in Madison, WI. (Go Regents!)  I even had to make deliveries in an old white Torino station wagon with no rear view mirror!  The scariest place I had to deliver was to a nursing home on Halloween night....walking down the halls, it looked like "Dawn of the Dead!"

Favorite Sports Team(s): Baseball.....Cleveland Indians, Milwaukee Brewers and St. Louis Cardinals  Football......Green Bay Packers

One Thing About Me You Probably Don't Know......My great-uncle played shortstop for the Cleveland Indians.  His name was Ray Chapman, and he is the only major league baseball player to have been killed by a pitched ball.  He died on August 17, 1920 and was also from Beaver Dam, Kentucky!

Current Fave Song:  I have several, actually. I love Muse's "Supermassive Black Hole," Katy Perry's "I Kissed A Girl" and "Hot and Cold," Pink's "So What," and David Cook's "Light On."

Guilty Pleasures on my iPod:  Hanson's "Mmmbop," Shaun Cassidy "Da Doo Ron Ron," Bay City Rollers "Saturday Night," Barry Manilow "Copacobana," Billy Ray Cyrus "Achy Breaky Heart," and LOTS of Bee Gees classics!!

Fave Movie (Right Now, Anyway):  This is a cute little film you've probably never heard of.  "The Undertaker's Wedding," starring one of my favorite actresses, Kari Wuhrer!   She is a really talented actress and how more people don't know about her is mystifying to me!  "Undertaker's" is a really funny black comedy co-starring Adrian Brody.  Also, check her out in "Eight Legged Freaks" with David Arquette and Scarlett Johansen! It's a really entertaining movie that pokes fun at B-horror flicks! Another movie you have GOT TO SEE is "Sordid Lives!"  This is probably the funniest movie I've seen in a long time and it has rocketed to the top of my "rewatchability list!"

Fave TV Shows:  "Glee!" "Hot In Cleveland" "American Idol", "Desperate Housewives", "Leverage" on TNT, "Dancing With The Stars", "House", "Bones," "24", and "Sliders." (That's because my girl, Kari was on that show!!  LOL).  And of course, I love watching Packer football games!

Fave Food/Restaurant:  I don't have one favorite food; I love it all!  As for restaurants, it depends on how much you want to spend.  Cheap:  Tequilas Mexican Restaurant in Mt. Vernon, IN.  Medium:  The Bonefish Grille on the Eastside  Date Night Restuarant: Firefly Southern Grille on Evansville's Eastside.

First Kiss:  My first kiss was with Victor Ruthenbeck, who lived across the street from me.  We laid one on each other in the shrubs one beautiful summer evening....and then proceeded to laugh our "arses" off!  My first REAL kiss came a few years later.....but that's another story!

Where Can U Find Me:  If I'm not at work, I'm either out running, spending time with my awesome husband Jeff, playing golf, working out at Bob's Gym, hanging out with friends or I'm working in my home office.

Where U Won't Find Me:  Bow-Hunting in a deer stand.  (Done that once, on a first date and that was enough!)

Cat or Dog:  3 adorable and SPOILED kitty cats!  Ally, Dudley and our newest addition, Lucy. Plus, I have a wonderful dog in my life....Bailey, our chocolate lab. (You can check them out in my photo album as well!)

Day Job:  Co-Host of the WIKY Morning Show with my partner, Dennis Jon Bailey!

Hobbies:  Athletics, Movies, Reading, Pop Music, Cooking, Fantasy Football and hanging out with my friends!

Did I Go To College? --  Yep....I did!  Studied History, Psychology and Sociology at Macalester College in St. Paul, MN.

If I Didn't Work in Radio, What Would I Do?:  I would probably be a sports psychologist, or in my dreams...a professional golfer or a singer.

When I visit Ebay I always check these out!:  Vintage movie posters and vintage lunchboxes!

Clues I've joined the 21st Century:  I'm on both Facebook and Twitter!

Secret Vice:  Romance Novels.....I'm a TOTAL sucker for 'em!  I'm also a COMPLETE "Twilight" geek!  I absolutely LOVE the entire "Twilight" saga by Stephenie Meyer......you've got to check 'em out! Edward and Bella rock!!
